Navigation consists of content related to air-based navigation. In this course, students will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant maps and charts associated with ATS.
- Describe the shape and properties of the earth and the methods of expressing position and direction.
- Demonstrate knowledge of VFR navigation procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of aviation time references.
- Explain the concepts that determine how navigation aids can be used in the provision of Air Traffic Services.
- Describe the properties, functions and accuracy of various navigation aids used in the ATC environment.
